Occasionally the FitBit app will stop transmitting data to the MyDataHelps app. While this can happen for several reasons, the following two steps will address the majority of the issues:
- Have the participant open the FitBit app and allow it to sync with the device
- Ensure the participant's FitBit app has the data in question (e.g. sleep, HR, steps).
Reconnecting FitBit to MyDataHelps
Occasionally, the MyDataHelps-Fitbit connection in MyDataHelps is no longer established (for a variety of reasons) and needs to be reconnected in MyDataHelps. On the dashboard screen in MyDataHelps, users may see "Sharing: requires attention, tap here".
Once they click, they can then hit "reconnect" and establish the FitBit app to MyDataHelps connection.
On occasion FitBit fails to sync without notice or reason. MyDataHelps will be updated once the FitBit issue is corrected.
